With the first set of parts ordered, I have began tearing down the engine in preparation for replacement of the timing belt, water pump, fuel pump, fuel lines, knock sensors, cam cover seals, intake refresh, rubber components, and anything else that needs to go. With the good removed, the engine is very easy to access and work on. So far everything has went very smoothly. It took some careful prying to get the fuel rails to come off though. We found the rats' nest beneath the cowl cover, but that has all been vacuumed out now. It should not be much longer before I have the parts removed so I can begin powder coating them.
